Bilberry is a variety of Blueberry mainly used for its therapeutic benefits. It is a perennial shrub native to Northern Europe, North America and Canada. Most of the therapeutic benefits of Bilberries are due to their high content of Anthocyanidins (which are part of the molecular structure of the Anthocyanosides of Bilberry) and Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins (OPC).
